Our Costumes are Made to Order
You will travel through
the following stages when you hire us.
We start with whatever you have, an idea,
a sketch, a product, a script, story board. We estimate the cost of the project, and after discussing with you
and agreeing upon cost and desired results, you give us some money, and
we begin the process of making the costume.
We develop the costume ideas into working sketches, miniature models,
rough mock-ups, or whatever seems appropriate to get the ideas into the real world.
Fabrics and other materials are chosen. The costume is constructed for first review, we make more decisions about
shape, materials, design and fit. When decisions are made final, we finish the costume.
For some projects a third and final fitting is necessary.

If requested we go to the theater or other venue where the costume will be worked in and we help the performers with their costumes, stand by for any emergency repairs, or are present for
last minute changes requested by clients. This usually is another cost, and not included in
our original bid. About 60% of our work comes from costume designers who bring their sketches to us to build.
The rest of our clients are typically made up of commercial directors, theater producers, ad agencies,
toy manufacturers, theme park designers, other costume shops and companies who need their
characters brought to life as walk around costumes. Our costumes are artistically built and engineered for your needs.
Each costume has its own purpose, and we work to make sure
your costume is right for its intended use.
If your costume will be used for a long time you can send back to us to refurbish. Please note that we cannot reproduce any licenced characters for you unless you have purchased the license
and have obtained permission from owners of characters. Also we do not have any costumes for rental. |
