Directions to Yvette Helin Studio from Midtown By Subway

To visit the studio connect to the 7 train or the G train. If you take the 7 you will need to walk across the Pulaski Bridge and exit the bridge at the stairs once you cross the creek. Then walk West on Ash street and you will be at the building in a block.

If you choose the G, take it to Greenpoint Ave, then exit and walk North on Manhattan Avenue approximately 11 blocks to our building at the very end of Manhattan Avenue just before the Newtown Creek.

Directions to Yvette Helin Studio From Midtown by Car

Use the QUEENS MIDTOWN TUNNEL- use RIGHT LANE.
When coming out of the tunnel, get to the far right immediately.
Take EXIT 13 BORDEN AVENUE. Very important you do not miss this exit.
Tell the driver you will be going over the PULASKI BRIDGE to BROOKLYN.
Turn immediate right onto BORDEN AVENUE. Turn immediate right onto VERNON.
Take next immediate slight right onto JACKSON AVENUE.
Take second right onto 11th STREET / PULASKI BRIDGE.
Go over the PULASKI BRIDGE.
While going over bridge, look to the right - see our huge red brick building across the creek!
PULASKI BRIDGE road turns into MCGUINESS BLVD.
Take first right you can onto FREEMAN STREET.
Travel one block then turn right onto MANHATTAN AVENUE.
Travel six blocks and a quarter to 1205 MANHATTAN AVENUE,
which is at the very end of manhattan avenue in what appears to be a parking lot
but is really Manhattan Avenue's end.
Our building 1205 sits alongside the Newtown Creek that you just went over on the bridge.

To get in the building:

To enter the building, on the keypad just right of the entrance,
PRESS 6#
on the keypad.
This will call Yvette's cellphone.

Once inside, you will walk several feet, go through a large doorway, then you will see freight elevator on your right. This elevator has an operator. If he is not sitting nearby, ring the buzzer and he will come down.

Tell him you are going to the THIRD FLOOR of BUILDING ONE.
We are in UNIT #6 to your left as you exit the elevator.
